The price of Bitcoin has plunged this year but shares of a trust that has been an easy way for investors to get access to the cryptocurrency have fallen even further. Tech investor Cathie Wood has taken notice.

(ticker: GBTC) are down nearly 70% this year, outpacing the roughly 60% drop in the Bitcoin it holds. While the trust has historically traded at a discount to Bitcoin, the gap has recently widened to historic levels of roughly 40%. The differential has increased partly because retail investors, many of whom liked the ease of investing in GBTC, are souring on Bitcoin.
