Recent actions of the fintech unicorn clearly shows their increasing interest towards crypto.
Revolut is planning to increase the number of staff employed in their crypto operations. Recently it reported that the UK’s fintech unicorn is looking to raise their crypto staff by almost 20% in upcoming months. The financial firm would be offering job roles in 13 different profiles. Revolut’s initiative to hire more team members is somewhat opposite given the many crypto firms witnessed laying off their employees.
Crypto Expansion of the UKs’ Largest Unicorn
According to the reports, Revolut will be looking to hire people across Europe, America and Britain. The hiring will be taking place for different job roles including financial crime prevention, legal crypto assistance, crypto software engineers and several others. The fintech firm is expecting to wrap up hiring in the next six months.
It’s noteworthy that revenue from crypto accounts for only 5% to 10% out of overall revenue of Revolut. Still hiring upto 20% staff indicates the company’s vision towards crypto space. The largest unicorn in the UK is known for different financial activities including interbank exchange of different currencies, business checking accounts, insurance and travel, etc. They also have services like stock and קריפּטאָ טראַדינג.
Revolut Realizing Potential of Crypto
Crypto and stock trading in the firm has seen massive growth during the last couple of years given Covid-19 pandemic situations. Since then, Revolut has been bullish on crypto and looking to offer a wide range of crypto related services to its users.
Emil Urmanshin – Crypto General Manager at Revolut – explained the vision of his team towards crypto. He said that they believe in crypto and see it as a long term game. Their long term vision makes them bullish on crypto. Further he also pointed out that although the firm’s overall revenue from crypto accounts only 5% to 10%, yet they are looking for expansion. The firm is preparing for these margins going large in future, he added.
Hiring crypto staff is just another effort of financial firms towards crypto. Earlier it has also launched several attractive features for their users. The firm collaborated with Polkadot for an initiative and offered 15 USD worth DOT tokens as reward for completing educational courses available on the platform. It also announced earlier no trading fee for קריפּטאָ trading in the United States.
